Media committee

website subcommittee

The Website Subcommittee is now actively recruiting for 1-2 members to assist with ongoing webpage updates and maintenance. While we have a dedicated professional website developer, we are interested in recruiting individuals that would assist with day-to-day management and updates such as uploading newsletters and posting announcements for our members and website visitors. Experience for website development is not required, but some familiarity with WordPress/other content management systems) and tech-savviness are highly appreciated. This volunteer position is minimally time consuming and highly flexible, though it is crucial that the right candidate will assist with new tasks within a reasonable time frame. Interested individuals of any and all training status can email the following to Website Chair Jennifer Lai (laijenniferk@gmail.com) and Media Committee Chair Chris Nguyen (Christopher.Nguyen@osumc.edu): (1) a copy of CV and (2) a brief statement of interest including any relevant experiences, interested length of term (min. 1 year), and general weekly availability (e.g., 1-5 hours). Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions at all, and we look forward to adding more ANA members to our committee!

Newsletter subcommitee

From your newsletter team here at ANA, I would like to announce a new opportunity to join our writing team. This recruitment will be for the following positions:

  • Writer (2 positions): This position is minimally-to-moderately time-consuming, depending on the publication stage. Writers should have creative writing fluency, strong communication skills, and can work within a reasonable time frame. Prior writing experience is welcome but is not necessary. We particularly acknowledge the diversity of experience and perspective that accompany people at various stages of their career and training, and as such, welcome persons from all stages from graduate student to early career.
  • Associate Editor (1 position): This position is moderately time-consuming, depending on the publication stage. Editors must be able to proofread, edit, and restructure written content, manage editorial timelines to ensure timely production, and generate new ideas for content creation. Familiarity with Adobe Design Suite is desirable but truly, not necessary. Most importantly, editors must have strong communication skills and demonstrate a strong team spirit.

Interested individuals can email the following material to the Newsletter Chair, Sara Chan, PsyD (sarachan@pacificu.edu), and Media Committee Chair Chris Nguyen, PhD (christopher.Nguyen@osumc.edu): 1) CV, 2) A briefstatement of interest (ok to paste in the body of the email) including any relevant experiences, 3) Interested length of term (min. 1 year), and 4) General areas of interest in the newsletter (e.g., Research, Feature articles).  Applications for these positions will be reviewed on a rolling basis until they are filled.  The newsletter, as with our association, relies on the effort and contributions of the greater community. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has chosen to lend their talent and efforts to any of our committees. We look forward to working with you for our collective community.
